- The Household Inventory Manager provides a convenient method for
- recording and keeping track of your valuable household property.
- In the event of disaster, it is extremely important that you have
- accurate records relating to your property in order to get a
- prompt and equitable insurance settlement. The Household
- Inventory Manager will handle this task with ease.

- The following information is stored in the database:

- Article
- Description
- Serial No.
- Condition
- Location
- Category
- Purchase Date
- Original Cost
- Insured Value
- Remarks

- Options are available to add new entries, or to delete, change or
- view existing entries. Further, you may search the database for
- the occurrence of any specified key word or phrase.

- A general purpose query program is provided to allow you to
- produce customized reports based on your selection criteria and
- formatting specifications.

- To start a new database, enter CLI and type the following
- commands:
-

- delete <drive>:houseinv/houseinv.dat
- delete <drive>:houseinv/houseinv.idx
-
- Note: substitute your disk drive name for <drive>, e.g.,"df0"
-

- The Household Inventory Manager database will accommodate
- approximately 2,900 entries. The core memory requirement is
- 512K.

- Be sure to backup you database often!!
